The people we support are leading the way on how to stay upbeat and connected while on lockdown.

Three Cs actively supports the campaign to recognise carers across the sector for the professional expertise they bring to one of the most important roles – supporting people to live their best lives. Covid-19 has revealed just how much we rely on our nation's social care workers – and the risks that they take to do their job.

It has provided a focus on the incredible work they undertake, and the skills required to deliver social care and support to the highest of standards. This is the time the government needs to demonstrate its support and require all care funding to reflect that carers should be paid the Real Living Wage of £9.50 per hour and for people working in London, the London Living Wage of £10.85. That is why we are actively supporting the #BetterPay4SocialCare campaign, and you can join us by signing the petition here

We at Three Cs stand in solidarity with Black Lives Matter and Stand Up to Racism organisations in the UK, in protest against the murder of George Floyd in Minneapolis and racism in the US, and against the policies that have led to the disproportionate number of deaths amongst black, Asian and minority ethnic people during the Covid-19 pandemic in the UK.

We also stand in solidarity with our staff, volunteers, trustees and people we support from black, Asian and minority ethnic communities and thank you for your tireless and unstinting commitment to keeping all of the people we support safe and well during the Covid-19 crisis.
